“The cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world” – The Story of TimHoWan!

TimHoWan, founded in March 2009, is a famous Hong Kong restaurant. It prides itself on serving only dishes that are prepared upon ordering, and provides customers with fresh and delicious cuisine. The four most popular dishes are the “Big Heavenly 4”, including baked BBQ pork buns, pan-fried radish cake, steamed egg cake, and pork liver vermicelli roll. The Big Heavenly 4 showcases the heart of fresh Hong Kong cuisine and the phenomenal cooking skill of the chefs.

The founder, Chef Kwai-Pui Mak, had dreamed for street vendors to one day offer cuisines of five-star hotel standards. With such hope and passion, TimHoWan received the award as a Michelin one star restaurant after opening for only eight months, and has earned this honor for eleven  consecutive years since 2010. It is known as “the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world.”
